Description AKRAPOVIC ME-BM/T/3 Exhaust System Evolution Line (Titanium) for BMW 1M Coupe (E82) 2011-2012
The Akrapovič Evolution performance exhaust system is manufactured from proprietary titanium and engineered to deliver reduced weight, improved exhaust flow, and increased engine output. The system includes a muffler, link pipes, and resonators that replace the exhaust components from the factory downpipes rearward.
The link pipes feature larger-than-stock diameter tubing and cast titanium flanges. The secondary catalytic converters are removed, reducing back pressure and overall system mass while deepening the exhaust tone and increasing power output. For maximum weight reduction, tuning potential, and aggressive racing sound, optional stainless steel catless downpipes are available.
An optional Akrapovič sound kit allows adjustable exhaust sound control. The system can be visually completed with a set of four titanium or carbon fibre tailpipes.
When installing Akrapovič optional downpipes with sports catalytic converters or without catalytic converters, which are developed for closed-track use only, ECU remapping is mandatory. When installing an Akrapovič exhaust system developed for closed-track use, ECU remapping is recommended to prevent potential check engine light warnings.
This product does not meet emission compliance requirements for street or highway use.
