The Akrapovič Evolution exhaust system is manufactured from proprietary titanium and engineered to enhance performance, responsiveness, and weight reduction for the BMW M5. The system features dual-outlet mufflers with integrated exhaust valves, flow-optimized piping, and a unique cast X-shaped section with resonators, forming a complete, high-efficiency exhaust solution.

The Evolution system reduces back pressure and increases power output while retaining the factory catalytic converters. Throttle response is improved, and overall system weight is significantly reduced compared to the stock exhaust. Sound characteristics are refined, delivering a deep and sporty tone during normal driving that transitions into an aggressive sound under higher load, without unwanted droning.

The system is fully compatible with the M5’s active noise cancellation (ANC) system. Exhaust valve operation is controlled via the vehicle’s factory settings. The appearance can be completed with a set of four titanium or carbon fibre tailpipes.
