Description AMS ALP.07.08.0006-7 CNC Big Bore Throttle Body Set (With AMS Quickclamp Adapter Flanges) for NISSAN GT-R (R35)
At approximately 800HP, the stock throttle bodies become a restriction in the intake system. The negative effects of this bottleneck increase significantly as power levels rise further. Enlarging the throttle body diameter from the stock 60mm (ID) to 73.5mm (ID) increases the cross-sectional area by 50%, resulting in improved power gains, especially above the 1000HP mark.
The 73.5mm throttle bodies are the largest OEM-style units available for the VR38. The design features a 22.5% increase in diameter and a 50% increase in cross-sectional area, which enhances mid-range and top-end power without negatively affecting low-end power. They are available with 3″ AMS QuickClamp, 3″ Vibrant HD Clamp, or 3″ Standard (Silicone Hose) flanges.
