Since 2009, stock-style turbo upgrades for the R35 Nissan GTR have typically used the OEM “turbofolds” with machined housings to fit larger aftermarket turbo CHRAs. However, the factory manifold is designed for compactness and optimized only for OEM power and boost levels, which reveals its limitations when modified. Many current stock-style options suffer from poor boost control or excessive boost creep, sometimes requiring high octane race fuel instead of standard 93 octane pump gas.

With the 2020 GT-R, the AMS Snailworks Engineering Team developed a turbo kit that matches the OEM two-piece manifold and turbine housing design, integrating their own improvements. By casting custom two-piece style manifolds and turbine housings, they address the shortcomings of OEM castings and eliminate expensive core charges and machining lead times. The AMS Performance ALPHA line of turbo kits has set benchmarks in GTR performance, and the new OMEGA Turbo Kit line continues this legacy, delivering high performance and reliability for street applications.

The OMEGA 9 Turbo Kit features the first 2020-style two-piece manifold design on the market, optimized exhaust manifolds, and a new wastegate port design for improved boost control and reduced boost creep. It utilizes billet wheel TD06 based journal bearing turbo CHRAs with 49mm inducers and TiAL MVI 2.5D wastegates with adjustable base spring pressure. The kit is designed for easy installation and compatibility with factory options, and is reversible to stock with minimal replacement parts.

Note: Fits all USDM, JDM, Gulf, and European models (LHD and RHD).

Note: 2020+ model year vehicles will reuse their existing OEM exhaust manifolds. 2009-2019 model year vehicles must use the full AMS turbine housing and manifold system.

Note: Not compatible with OEM stock intakes. Fitment with other brand aftermarket 3″ intakes not guaranteed. AMS carbon intakes required and available separately.
