ARD Turbo Blanket is designed to fit the PORSCHE 997 with twin VTG turbochargers.

Turbo blankets isolate the heat generated by your turbocharger to reduce turbo lag, lower intake air temperature, protect and prolong vital components under the hood (reduce heat under the hood by up to 60%), and increase power.

By keeping hot exhaust gases inside the turbocharger, the efficiency of the turbocharger is increased. In addition, by keeping the heat of the exhaust gases contained inside the hot side of the turbocharger and away from the cold side of the turbocharger and the intake tract, more oxygen is supplied to the engine per unit volume, and thus more power can be achieved.

Turbo blankets consist of an outer layer of crushed volcanic lava (nominal 1800 ° F direct heat / 2500 ° F radiated heat) formed into fabric and woven into a tight mesh weave. Calcium magnesium silicate wool (rated continuous temperature 1832 ° F / peak 2300 ° F) covered.
