This 2.5" diameter BORLA Axle-Back system is designed for vehicles equipped with the factory Ground Effects (GFX) package. Tips are not included, and the system is intended for use with the factory tips and valance.

BORLA has developed an exhaust technology that provides vehicle-specific control over the acoustical note throughout the RPM range, while maintaining the power-adding capabilities of the patented multicore design. The ATAK (Acoustically-Tuned Applied Kinetics) technology produces the highest decibel levels in the BORLA street-legal lineup and is aimed at high-performance purists.

ATAK technology focuses on maximizing volume while retaining sound clarity and avoiding distortion or drone. The sound output is tuned to shape and focus sound waves for optimal high-volume output. Each ATAK system is developed through extensive study of the vehicle's acoustical properties, using custom-tuned internal muffler cores calibrated for each application. The Axle-Back systems retain the stock front muffler, so the full ATAK sound is not realized, but they are still louder than the S-Type. Adding BORLA X-Pipe with Mid-Pipes part number 60512 creates a Cat-Back system for the Camaro. The system is constructed from premium T-304 austenitic stainless steel with ultra-smooth mandrel bent piping.
