Borla has developed an exhaust technology that provides vehicle-specific control over the acoustical note throughout the RPM range, while maintaining the power-adding capabilities of Borla's patented multicore design.

Known as ATAK (Acoustically-Tuned Applied Kinetics), this technology delivers the highest available decibel levels in the Borla street-legal lineup and is intended for high-performance enthusiasts who prioritize exhaust sound. ATAK focuses on increasing volume while retaining sound clarity, avoiding distortion common in louder exhausts. The sound output is tuned like a graphic equalizer to optimize high-volume output.

Each ATAK system is developed through extensive study of the vehicle's acoustical properties, with custom-tuned muffler cores calibrated for each application to deliver the desired sound without interior drone. This system produces a very aggressive sound on Shelby GT500 vehicles. The 2.5" diameter Cat-Back system is handmade in the USA, featuring T-304 austenitic stainless steel construction, mandrel bent piping, single 4" round bright chrome on T-304 stainless steel tips on each muffler, and is covered by the Borla Million-Mile Warranty.
