Cusco Type-RS Limited Slip System

Suited for Drivers who:

  • Prefer lower maintenance on racing-grade Limited Slip Differential Units.
  • Prefer more immdiacy in actuation response right from the initial lock setting to maximum preset lock rate.
  • Drive lower-powered, compact cars in competitions
  • Does a lot of Standing-Start drag racing and short track, autocross with light-trigger starts.
  • Initial lock setting is more consistent and evenly spread over friction plates over traditinoal LSD systems
  • Inner-coil spring design allows for less initial lock settings on frictions plates than traditional LSD to achieve similar response.
  • Springs keep the friction plates in contact evenly and aids to prolong the life of the plates, while also preventing deformation of plate surface.
  • Choice of 2 Cam Ramps on the Pressure Plate for Tuning.
  • Ability to be adjusted for initial torque settings via positioning and number of coil springs.
  • Vector of forece applied by the pressure plate is the same as the intitial lock springs,making the LSD actuation consistent.
  • Chattering of plates are minimized in the RS Type design with consistent pressure across the radius of the friction plate surface.
