Description GIRODISC A2-343 Rear Brake Rotor Kit for FORD Mustang GT 5.0 (S650) 2023-

These GiroDisc 2-piece brake rotors are a direct replacement for the rear brake rotors on the Ford S650 Mustang with 355 mm iron brakes, including the GT with Performance Package, Dark Horse, and Dark Horse SC without the optional carbon ceramic brakes. These fully floating assemblies help reduce unsprung weight and rotating mass from the front axle.

The brake rotor rings are machined from a proprietary high-carbon iron casting formulated to GiroDisc specifications. The curved vanes act as a centrifugal pump, pulling air through the hub to cool the brake discs. The reusable hats can be installed onto new rings when replacement is required.

The hats, brake rotor rings, and drive pins are manufactured in-house in Bellingham, WA, from domestically sourced materials. The 6061-T6 aluminum hats feature a black anodized finish. The high-strength steel alloy drive pins are cadmium-plated for corrosion resistance. Spring clips and spring washers provide race-ready float while remaining street-friendly without noise from loose hardware.

Recommendation: Replace the rings when they reach minimum thickness or if a crack extends to the edge of the ring.
