The HKS SUPER FIRE RACING MR Series features a ruthenium electrode and is designed as an M12 long reach, high heat range tuning spark plug with a protruding electrode. This spark plug is suitable for vehicles such as the Honda Civic Type R and offers a heat range equivalent to NGK No.9.

This new series inherits key characteristics from the existing M series, incorporating a ruthenium electrode for reliable ignition in vehicles with increased boost or lightly tuned engines. The switch from iridium to ruthenium enhances both ignition performance and durability. Ruthenium’s high abrasion resistance helps maximize engine performance and spark plug longevity. The plug provides a more complete fuel burn compared to other precious metal spark plugs, offering quicker throttle response, smoother idle, and improved cold starts.
