The FL5 Civic Type R comes standard with electronically controlled suspension, but its stock ride height is high, which has been a source of dissatisfaction for owners. This product lowers the ride height enough to achieve a stylish appearance while retaining the stock electronically controlled suspension.

Repeated testing determined that avoiding a drastic increase in spring rate from the stock setting and intentionally using the stock bump stops maintains ride comfort while minimizing significant changes in vehicle posture.

The front features ball-joint upper mounts that improve steering response and provide a sporty driving experience. Camber adjustment provides greater freedom when choosing wheel designs. Three front ride height settings are available using the included spacers, while the rear screw-type adjustment mechanism allows the ride height to be set to the desired position.

The front is equipped with camber-adjustable ball-joint upper mounts. In addition to improving steering response, this setup allows wider tires to be fitted while lowering the vehicle. It also expands tire size and wheel design options.

Factory mode switching is supported, and ride height is adjustable at both the front and rear. Since the factory shock absorbers / dampers are used, the mode-switching function remains available.

The front ride height adjustment method combines two spacers rather than using a standard height adjuster. This provides three ride height settings while maintaining sufficient suspension travel.
