The factory titanium exhaust of 991 GT2 RS, while sounding better than the previous generation 997, still doesn't reflect the raw nature of this supercar, but Kline engineers are xperts at turning the faint sounds of a turbocharger into an exotic supercar howl!
Sound
Building on the design innovations and success of the 996 and 997 models, the starting point for the 991 GT2 RS exhaust system was set high. The signature perfect x-pipe geometry, harmonically tuned mufflers, Inconel 625 and proprietary acoustic muffler packing materials resulted in a system that has become renowned for its perfect sound. There is no rumble, and at high rpm and when the gas pedal is pressed hard, there is an incendiary howl with an elevated tone. Using the stock valvetronic vacuum system, the company was able to install the company's proprietary valvetronic mufflers, resulting in an even more discreet ride on closed valves and a more aggressive sound on open valves.
