Description K&N 69-0015TS Performance Air Intake System TYPHOON; ACURA RSX L4-2.0L F/I, 2002-2006
The K&N 69-0015TS Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed for select Acura RSX and Honda CR-V models. The factory air filter and intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon air intake, which is engineered to reduce air flow restriction by smoothing and straightening the air path.
This design allows the engine to draw in a larger volume of air compared to the factory intake, resulting in increased power and acceleration across the RPM range. The system includes a black rubber-topped K&N high-flow air filter that fits into the original air box location. Air is directed through the intake tube into the throttle body for a guaranteed power gain.
The intake tube features a durable silver powder-coat finish and is designed to accommodate the factory IA bypass control thermal valve, air temperature sensor, and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone-shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions. Installation is straightforward and typically takes 90 minutes or less.
