The classic Porsche 911 models have been recognized for decades for their timeless styling and pure sportiness. The 911 is known worldwide as a sports car icon. Now, KW V3 shock absorbers with independently adjustable compression and rebound damping are available as a complete suspension set in galvanized steel housings for all Porsche 911 models built from 1969 to 1989.

For the first time, a suspension kit for the Porsche 911 (G-model) with road approval allows individual adjustment of driving behavior to personal preferences. The integrated compression and rebound adjustment click adjusters make it easy to fine-tune the recommended damper basic setup. The 16-click rebound setting directly influences handling characteristics and driving comfort, while the low speed compression valve, adjustable in twelve clicks, further enhances driving behavior if desired.

A higher compression level on the front axle enables more direct steering, and increased compression damping forces on the rear axle help counteract oversteering. The degressive valve assembly of the preconfigured high speed compression valve positively affects damping when driving over sudden street bumps, allowing the wheels to absorb impacts and preventing jumping over curbs. With adjustable KW shock absorbers, the Porsche 911 achieves more direct handling, increased rear axle grip without added oversteer, and improved comfort.

The KW suspension kit features spindle struts and dampers, eliminating the need for time-consuming strut conversions with replacement cartridges. The standard torsion bar springs on the front and rear axles can still be used. Technically, when lowering, the roll center remains higher or is higher at the same driving height, the lower transverse control arm does not move upwards relative to the vehicle, and the front wheel moves less toward positive camber during compression. This also results in a lowering of 19 mm at a constant torsion bar position.
