The Active Valve Control (AVC) module wires into the Canbus feed and changes the default values for when the exhaust valves open and close. Once installed, the module is instantly activated and the operation is changed based on the current drive select mode. The programmed values are preloaded and cannot be changed.

The default values are adjusted as follows: Comfort mode keeps the valves closed up to 5,000 RPM, Auto mode keeps the valves closed up to 3,000 RPM, and Dynamic mode keeps the valves open at all times. In 4 cylinder mode, the valves remain closed in all drive modes. The module also forces the valves to be closed on cold start, which are normally open.

This product features a manual override to open the valves on demand regardless of drive mode. This can be achieved by pressing the ESP button twice within 2 seconds. Repeat this action to deactivate and return to normal operation.
