Description MISHIMOTO MMINT-CIV-16BK HONDA Civic 1.5T/Si Performance Intercooler, 2016+
Keep charged air temperatures down in the turbocharged Civic with the 2016-2021 Honda Civic Performance Intercooler from Mishimoto. The tenth generation Civic, equipped with the L15B7 engine, faces heat issues despite advanced Earth Dreams technology. The stock intercooler uses tube-and-fin construction with plastic end tanks, which can lead to higher temperatures.
This intercooler is designed for Honda enthusiasts and addresses high charged air temperatures found in the stock unit. The all-aluminum, bar-and-plate construction is engineered to resist heat generated during air compression. The intercooler increases volume by 102% and fin surface area by 97%, resulting in a 20°F reduction in outlet air temperatures compared to stock, and up to 42°F with a performance tune.
When paired with the 2016-2021 Honda Civic Performance Intercooler Piping, this direct-fit intercooler can add up to 4 whp and 8 ft-lbs of torque, with potential gains of 11 whp and 9 ft-lbs of torque when tuned. The Mishimoto intercooler is available in silver or black and includes the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
Installation Notes: 22 in-lbs (2.5NM) recommended for all worm gear clamps. These clamps have an operating range of 18-27 in-lbs (2-3NM). Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 27 in-lbs (3NM).
