Multiple prototypes were tested before finalizing the design for the 2014-2019 Fiesta ST intercooler. Engineers evaluated several options, considering the advantages and disadvantages of each. The chosen design features a tube-and-fin style intercooler to allow airflow to the radiator and reduce weight.

The core is 51% larger than stock and offers a 25% increase in internal core volume. During testing, this intercooler reduced intake temperatures by 26°F. The kit is a direct fit and is compatible with both stock and Mishimoto Fiesta ST intercooler pipes. Air diversion plates are included to channel air through the cooler for maximum efficiency. The intercooler is constructed from all-aluminum with TIG-welded seams.

Note: This intercooler is rated for approximately 325 whp. Exceeding these horsepower limits could require a larger front-mount intercooler. The J-line intercooler can be used for horsepower levels exceeding 325 whp.
