The Mishimoto Performance Intercooler provides enhanced cooling for MK5 and MK6 GTI/Golf R models. While the stock intercooler system is sufficient for daily driving, it can struggle to keep up with increased boost levels. The original tube-and-fin heat exchanger and plastic construction may lead to boost leaks over time.

This performance intercooler features fully cast aluminum end tanks and an internal air diverter to utilize the full core. The bar-and-plate core construction offers improved durability and heat dissipation compared to the stock setup. The core volume is increased by 46 percent, with a 97 percent increase in external fin surface area. Flow is improved by 9 percent, and charged air temperature is reduced by 20°F across the core.

The kit includes 5-layer silicone couplers and a CNC-machined adapter for compatibility with stock pipes. The Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty is included for added assurance.

Installation Notes: 27 in-lbs (3NM) recommended for all T-bolt and constant-tension T-bolt clamps. These clamps have an operating range of 18-35 in-lbs (2-4NM). Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 35 in-lbs (4NM).

Note: This intercooler does not fit vehicles equipped with the CBFA radiators. Please ensure that your vehicle does not have the CBFA temperature sensor before installing.
