With the release of the 2016 Mazda Miata, Mishimoto engineers developed a direct-fit Miata oil cooler kit to improve cooling efficiency. The new Miata does not come equipped with a stock oil cooler, making this upgrade an important modification for maintaining optimal oil temperatures during track use.

This kit features a Mishimoto 19-row stacked-plate oil cooler, positioned in front of the radiator with application-specific mounting brackets for maximum airflow. Braided stainless steel lines with -10AN fittings provide easy installation, and the cooler is available in Sleek Silver or Stealth Black powdercoat finishes. The kit offers a choice between a thermostatic or non-thermostatic oil sandwich plate.

Installation Notes: Recommended torque specification for all straight fittings and banjo bolts: 15-25 lb-ft. Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 35 ft-lb.

Caution: It is the installer's responsibility to check all thermostat plugs, NPT plugs, line fittings, and other connections to assure they are fully tightened before operating the vehicle. Mishimoto recommends checking all connections at regular intervals, especially during the first few miles after installation.
