The SACHS RCS 184 with organic friction lining is the right choice when drivability and component protection are priorities. Its 184 mm diameter combines a compact design and low rotational inertia with sufficient friction surface area, making it ideal for track days, club racing, slalom, and vehicles where smooth, predictable Pedal feel is important.

Compared with sintered pad solutions, the organic lining engages more smoothly and predictably. This reduces load peaks in the drivetrain, helps protect the gearbox and joints, and improves traction when pulling away and accelerating out of slow corners. Noise and vibration levels are also lower, while the engagement point remains consistent and reproducible over many stints.

The organic lining is more conservative in terms of thermal performance than a sintered pad solution. However, the 184 mm platform provides sufficient reserve through its larger friction surface and even pressure distribution. For applications with moderate to medium temperatures, it delivers stable, finely controllable Torque transfer without aggressive engagement. The friction linings are securely bonded to the carrier plate using a controlled manufacturing process, ensuring consistent friction characteristics within the relevant temperature range.

The Technology

SACHS RCS Hub

The SACHS RCS 184 7.8 motorsport clutch discs are available with different hub spline profiles precisely matched to the respective gearbox input shaft. This ensures maximum fit accuracy, reliable Torque transfer, and outstanding durability under demanding motorsport conditions.

The hubs are also available in different Length options: short, medium, and long. This allows the clutch to be adapted to the available installation space while ensuring correct operation.
