Designed for the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, the triple-plate SACHS RCS 3/140 S3.4 fits the 997 GT3 Cup, 991 Cup, and 992 Cup/Supercup. The compact 140 mm diameter reduces moment of inertia, shortens shift windows, and lowers drag torque, providing faster rev build-up, precise throttle response at the apex, and clean drive-off with typical 911 gear ratios.
The 3.4 mm sintered lining is engineered for consistent performance over race distance. It offers greater thermal capacity and wear reserve than 2.6 mm variants while providing greater agility and faster temperature reset than 5.2 mm sintered pads. The result is a stable bite point, reproducible engagement, and reliable launches, even at high disc temperatures in Cup use.
The triple-disc configuration spreads friction work and heat across multiple contact surfaces and raises torque capacity at a low stack height. The forged aluminium clutch cover provides high stiffness at low mass, while pressure and intermediate plates made from high-strength steel ensure launch and durability performance. It is suitable for Porsche Carrera Cup, Porsche Supercup, and track-day club sport.
Less Mass
One of the greatest strengths of the RCS sintered clutch is its low mass and associated low mass inertia. SACHS RCS clutches are designed for racing, with the objective of transmitting torque rapidly and directly from the engine to the gearbox. Reducing the weight of the crankshaft drive to lower the moment of inertia considerably increases vehicle acceleration performance in the lower gears.
Faster Acceleration
If the clutch has a moment of inertia of 0.061 kgm², the moment of inertia at the drive wheel is 180 times higher in first gear with a transmission reduction of 13.4:1. Converted into vehicle mass, this equates to approximately 145 kg of additional weight to be accelerated in first gear. The low moment of inertia of the SACHS RCS clutch considerably reduces shifting times and enables faster vehicle acceleration.
