The SACHS RCS motorsport CSC release unit from ZF Motorsport is a concentric slave cylinder designed for modular racing clutches with push-type clutch actuation. It combines a compact design with high load capacity, precise guidance, and a hydraulic actuation system matched to racing use.

Different mounting geometries, release diameters, and working ranges allow the SACHS RCS concentric slave cylinder to be matched to the respective racing clutch, the installation situation in the bellhousing, and the hydraulic pedal system.

Technology

• Function: The release unit sits concentrically around the gearbox input shaft and actuates the clutch directly via the release bearing. Release travel, bearing position, and actuation force can be precisely matched to the respective SACHS RCS racing clutch.
• Housing: The concentric slave cylinder housing is manufactured as a one-piece component to achieve high strength and prevent leakage. This design is particularly suitable for high release forces, vibration, and thermal load in motorsport.
• Bearing: The slave cylinder bearing is designed for the high engine speeds of racing engines. It supports stable, precise clutch actuation during short shift events and under high load.
