The SPEED ENGINEERING 13686 Seat Console with Adapter is designed for the passenger side of the BMW 3 Series E30. This safety-critical seat mounting component was developed using FEM simulation to support safety and weight optimisation.

The console provides the lowest possible central seating position in front of the steering wheel. Component shapes and cut-outs are based on calculated and simulated stress distribution under load. The installation space was measured using a 3D laser scanner to reduce fastening material and installation effort while maximising available space.

• Reduced lever arms between fixing points help lower torque loads on the components
