Description SPEED ENGINEERING 13974 Front and Rear Brake Cooling Kit for HONDA Civic Type R (FK2)

The SPEED ENGINEERING 13974 Front and Rear Brake Cooling Kit is designed for the HONDA Civic Type R FK2. The system uses the factory bumper air intakes on the front axle and a plug-and-play rear axle cooling layout to direct airflow toward the brake discs / brake rotors.

On the front axle, the factory bumper air intakes guide air only as far as the wheel arch, where there is no direct path to the centre of the brake disc / brake rotor. The supplied air duct is positioned where the diverted air exits in front of the tyre, secured using the supplied rivets, and connected to the outlet by a short hose using existing mounting points.

On the rear axle, the system channels air directly into the inside of the rim through a flow channel. The plug-and-play solution requires no vehicle modifications, hoses, clamps, or additional accessories and uses original mounting points on the wishbone.

Recommendation: Removal of the anchor plate is strongly recommended.

Road Use: Motorsport parts are not approved for road use.

Fitment Note: Models vary slightly in wheel position, chassis geometry, and wheel and tyre combinations. In some cases, the wheel may lightly touch at full steering lock, and the final quarter of the steering travel should be avoided.
