The SPEED ENGINEERING 16826.3 Side Adapter for Seat Rail is designed for the passenger side of BMW 1 Series, 2 Series, 3 Series, M240i, M340i, M440i, M2, M3, M4, and Z4 models on Gx, Fx, E8x, and E9x platforms. The adapter allows a Sparco EVO Street L seat to be fitted to the original mechanical seat rail of a BMW F Series vehicle.

The seat mounting is a safety-critical component developed using FEM simulation to support safety and weight optimisation. The design provides the lowest possible seating position while keeping the seat centred in front of the steering wheel. Component cut-outs and shapes are based on calculated and simulated stress distribution under load. The installation space is measured beforehand using a 3D laser scanner.

The adapter is intended for mechanical seat rails. Reduced fastening material and installation effort maximise the use of available space, while reduced lever arms between mounting points help lower torque loads on the components.

Electric Seat Rail Note: For electric seat rails, a separate version with its own seat console is available under item 13212, and an additional electric motor control kit is available under item 13855.

Registration Note: Registration of the seat console, including the seats, is only possible for vehicles up to model year 2024. Later vehicles require the complete seat console.

Road Use: Motorsport products are not automatically approved for road use under German road traffic regulations.

Installation Note: Installation can be booked through optional items. Workshop installation and registration appointments can be arranged by email.

Registration Fee Note: The flat-rate TÜV registration fee is charged only once when driver- and passenger-side sets are ordered together.
