Description SYVECS S7Plus-M156 Engine ECU S7Plus Kit for MERCEDES-BENZ C63 / SLS (M159)

The Syvecs Mercedes M156 PnP kit brings a new level of engine management control to the Mercedes C63 with the M156 engine. It has also been developed for the later M159 engine used in SLS models.

Simply plugging in the kit provides extensive control over engine calibration, Torque management, variable valve timing, launch control, traction control, boost control, and vehicle functions.

  • Live tuning of every aspect of the engine calibration and Torque control, including clutch clamping and shift points
  • Selectable engine maps, boost levels, traction control, and launch control through an external 12-position switch or OEM cruise control buttons
  • Full variable valve timing, cruise control, flex-fuel control, rolling anti-lag, and closed-loop lambda control using OEM sensors
  • Full functionality with all other vehicle control modules and original vehicle features

Specifications:

  • Injector Support: Up to 16 injectors with an X10 Expander
  • Supercharger Control: Optional supercharger bypass control
  • Launch Control: Adjustable launch control with anti-lag strategies, ramp-in maps, and Torque ramp adjustment after launch
  • Boost Control: Fully adjustable closed-loop boost control with launch-level adjustments and trims for turbo speed, air charge, engine coolant temperature, and exhaust gas temperatures
  • Exhaust Gas Temperature: Monitoring and trimming
  • Data Logging: Up to 8 hours at data rates of up to 1000 Hz using market-leading analysis software
  • Security: Anti-theft and valet modes
  • Connection: RJ45 Ethernet port for live tuning locally or remotely when connected to a wireless unit
  • Traction Control: Adjustable strategies based on lateral G, GPS speed, and individual wheel-speed monitoring
  • Target Slip Maps: Four programmable and selectable maps
  • Torque Reduction: Immediate ECU-controlled reduction through ignition retard or fuel cut
  • Engine Safety: Configurable trips for important parameters including oil temperature and oil pressure
  • Fuel System: Main fuel pump control, relative fuel-pressure monitoring, and limiting if fuel pressure drops under boost
  • Pedal-to-Throttle Maps: Four maps with multipliers for parameters such as speed, adjustable through steering-wheel buttons
  • Knock Control: Configurable individual-cylinder closed-loop control with adjustable frequency, listening windows, and gains for each cylinder
  • Severe Knock Protection: Full cylinder shutdown capability
  • MAP Sensor Support: Up to 7 bar
  • Injector Calibration: Adjustable dead times based on voltage and adjustable injector end angle
  • External Sensors: Supports external sensors for monitoring and safety trips, including crankcase pressure and Shock absorber / Damper position
  • Throttle Body Support: Any size DBW Throttle body, including the Chevrolet LS7
  • Nitrous Control: Wet and dry nitrous control with direct solenoid operation and N2O heater control through pressure monitoring
  • External Vehicle Functions: Control based on sensor inputs, including an adjustable rear wing linked to G-force or exhaust control valves
  • Display Support: Connection to any Race Series dash or a partner touchscreen CAN bus adjustment/display unit

Frequently Asked Questions:

Does the kit control OEM VVT? Yes. It is adjustable through variable valve timing calibrations, including Intake and exhaust cam targets.

Can the kit be used when the engine is installed in another vehicle that does not require CAN bus? Yes. The dealer must complete the vehicle-side wiring, including 12 V power, pedal signal, and fuel pump control.

Is launch control adjustable? Yes. It is fully adjustable during and after launch, with a limiter based on time or speed.

Can clutch pressures be altered? Yes. Adjusting the Torque values sent to the transmission ECU changes the applied pressure.

Is a base map supplied? Yes. A base calibration is supplied through the Syvecs dealer to get all functions working.

How are calibrations changed? Calibrations are changed through the OEM steering-wheel cruise control buttons. Up selects calibration up, down selects calibration down, and pulling back activates calibration override for rolling anti-lag. An external 12-position switch can also be used.

Which original vehicle features will no longer work? All original features will function properly.

Does the ECU support forced induction if the engine is turbocharged? Yes. The OEM MAP sensor must be replaced with a higher-range sensor, such as a 5-bar sensor, and a boost solenoid is required to control boost pressure.
