The Syvecs BMW N54 Kit brings a new level of engine management control to the BMW 135, 335, and 1M range with the world's first fully integrated standalone engine control module.

By simply plugging in the kit, a new level of control is available for both manual and DSG models. The ECU offers the following features and more:

• Live tuning of every aspect of the engine calibration, including signals sent to the DSG ECU; selectable engine maps, boost, traction, and launch control levels through an 8-position switch or OEM cruise control levers; fully adjustable launch control with anti-lag strategies and ramp-in maps; rolling anti-lag and pit lane limiter strategies; flat shifting; cruise control add-on; anti-theft and valet modes; and four programmable target slip maps with immediate Torque reduction through ignition retard or fuel cut.
• Control of aftermarket high- and low-pressure pumps, OEM direct-injection pumps, sub-pumps, OEM injectors, and additional port injectors; relative fuel-pressure monitoring and limiting; high- or low-impedance injector control; adjustable injector dead times and end angles; flex-fuel control; wet and dry nitrous control with direct solenoid control and N2O heater control through pressure monitoring; and closed-loop dual lambda control using OEM lambda sensors.
• Full variable valve timing; adjustable closed-loop boost control with launch adjustments and trims for turbo speed, air charge, coolant temperature, and exhaust gas temperature; exhaust gas temperature monitoring and trimming; configurable engine safety trips; individual-cylinder closed-loop knock control with adjustable frequency, listening windows, and gains; severe-knock cylinder shutdown; up to 7-bar MAP sensors; external sensor support for parameters including crankcase pressure and Shock absorber / Damper position; and any-size DBW Throttle body support.
• Built-in data logging for up to eight hours at rates up to 1000 Hz; RJ45 Ethernet connectivity for local or remote live tuning; adjustable traction control using lateral G, steering angle, and individual wheel speeds; four pedal-to-Throttle body angle maps; configurable DSG Torque and demand levels, shift Torque reduction, launch Torque ramp-in, and throttle-blip requests; external vehicle feature control based on sensor inputs; support for any Race Series dash or partner touchscreen CAN bus adjustment/display unit; and live viewing of any input with a built-in scope up to 1000 Hz.

FAQs and Help:

Which original features will no longer work? All features will work.

Can port injectors also be used with the kit? Yes. Six additional port injectors can be fitted and linked to all Torque management strategies to ensure safety during fuel-cut events.

Do the OEM BSD oil-level and temperature sensors work? Yes. These can also be monitored and logged.

Can the OBD port still be used to log, read codes, and clear codes on other vehicle ECUs, such as ABS? Yes. This can be done using BMW tools, but “Car Code 2” must be set to “0”.

Can a gearbox adaptation be performed with the Syvecs ECU on the DSG gearbox? Yes. This is explained in the Cal Comments of the ECU base map. Go to I/O Configuration, Car Coding 2, and set the value to 7 only after the engine is fully warmed up and the vehicle has been driven for at least 10 minutes so the gearbox is up to temperature. The vehicle must be in park with the brake pressed.
