Description SYVECS SYV-4WD-GEN AWD Controller for Genericoller

The Syvecs Generic AWD Controller is a compact and powerful unit designed to control any AWD/4WD solenoid or motor in OEM and motorsport applications.

Configurable CANbus communications allow integration into any vehicle. Real-time data can be received from OEM and aftermarket systems for operational and monitoring strategies, providing precise control of AWD/4WD systems. Additional sensors can provide further functionality and safety, including AWD temperature, AWD pressure, and axle speeds.

Advanced users can configure custom CAN transmit options to send bits or bytes over CANbus, maintain OEM system operation, trigger warning lights, apply Torque limits, and perform other functions.

  • Four Half Bridge drivers can be driven low or high, with a maximum of 15 amps peak and 8 amps continuous per output.
  • Pin sharing on H-Bridge 1/2 and 3/4 supports up to 16 amps continuous current with paired outputs.
  • Each H-Bridge output includes current monitoring, short-circuit detection, limp-flag control, and output shutdown for safety. If no current Flow is detected when an AWD solenoid is driven, a limp flag or CAN message can be triggered.
  • Includes four 0-5V analogue inputs, four magnetoresistive inputs, and a 6-axis IMU sensor.

Control Functions:

  • 2WD/Burnout Mode: Dedicated switched input, CANbus message, or OEM functions
  • Limiters: Maximum duty, launch control limit, duty rate of change, and decay/hold functions
  • Protection: Limp mode, over-current protection, over-slip protection, and over-temperature protection
  • Cooling Pump Control: AWD cooling pump control logic

Datastream:

  • The Generic unit provides fully flexible CAN receive and transmit functionality.

Sensors and Switches:

  • External sensors can be connected to the AWD module and linearized in Syvecs Scal Software.
  • The four analogue inputs include an optional 3k 5V pull-up and can support an external 2WD switch, adjustment potentiometer, AWD temperature, and AWD pressure.
  • Four magnetoresistive inputs can receive speed signals from two-wire magnetoresistive Hall speed sensors. Speed data can also be transmitted over CANbus.
  • The 6-axis IMU allows acceleration data to be viewed in real time or linked to control strategies.
