Description SYVECS SYV-4WD-HALP-VAG AWD Controller for AUDI S3 / VW Golf R (Mk7)
The Syvecs MQB AWD module is a standalone AWD/4WD/centre differential controller designed to control the Haldex system in VAG Group four-cylinder MQB vehicles.
Unlike the locked and non-adjustable OEM Haldex controller, the AWD module provides greater control over the powertrain. It replicates OEM CAN information and uses variables including steering angle, brake pressure, RPM, TPS, lateral G, yaw, longitudinal G, speeds, temperatures, and mode switches.
Using Syvecs Scal software, more than 40 maps can be adjusted to control the solenoids and motors used in the AWD system. Live-adjustment potentiometers allow AWD duty to be adjusted while driving or switched to 2WD.
Please note: This unit will not work with the RS3 or TTRS. The special controller from Iroz Motorsport is required. Refer to the dedicated RS3/TTRS 4WD module product page.
- Limp protection for excessive slip, high current, and high temperatures warns the driver while keeping AWD active.
- Compatible with any engine management system.
- The MQB drive mode button provides switching between AWD Select 1, 2, and 3.
- Burnout mode can be activated through the hazard lights or Handbrake, if present.
Some of the maps available:
- 4 x base duty tables
- 4 x adders with enable maps: Left-foot braking, front slip, rear slip, and centre slip
- 4 x multipliers with enable maps: Steering angle, AWD temperature, AWD pressure, and AWD potentiometer
- Tyre diameter adjustment under sensors
- 2WD/Burnout mode: Dedicated switched input, CAN bus message, or OEM functions
- Limiters: Maximum duty, launch control limit, duty rate of change, and decay/hold functions
- Limp mode: Over-current, excessive-slip, and over-temperature protection
- Cooling pump control and AWD cooling pump control logic
Datastream:
The Syvecs AWD unit has a dedicated CAN bus transmit area for sending variables from the AWD system to external control units for monitoring, or to the OEM CAN bus system through custom identifiers and byte structuring.
Sensors / Switches:
External sensors can be connected to the AWD module and linearized in Syvecs Scal software.
When the AWD system is fine-tuned to suit Torque and chassis setups, significant acceleration improvements can be achieved, as demonstrated by Adam.
