Description SYVECS SYV-4WDGTR AWD Controller for NISSAN GT-R (R35)
The Syvecs R35GTR AWD module is a standalone AWD/4WD/centre differential controller designed to control any AWD/4WD solenoid or motor up to a maximum of 30 amps via pin-sharing logic.
Unlike locked OEM controllers, the AWD module provides adjustable powertrain control. The R35GTR version replicates all OEM CAN information and uses variables including steering angle, brake pressure, RPM, TPS, lateral G, yaw, longitudinal G, speeds, temperatures, and mode switches.
The R Mode button provides map switching between AWD Select 1 and 2. Burnout mode can be activated through Snow mode, the hazard lights, or the Handbrake. An optional loom supports external burnout switches and live-adjustment potentiometers for on-the-move AWD duty adjustment or switching to 2WD.
Please Note: The Nissan ETS unit retains some preload on the AWD ETS clutches even at 0% duty. Extended use in Burnout/2WD mode will burn the OEM clutches. Larger clearance is required for prolonged periods of 2WD use.
- Limp protection for excessive slip, current, and temperature warns the driver while keeping AWD active.
- Scal software provides access to more than 40 maps for controlling AWD solenoids and motors.
- Dedicated CAN bus transmission allows AWD variables to be sent to external control units or the OEM CAN bus.
- External sensors can be connected and linearized through Scal software.
Available Maps:
- 4 x base duty tables
- 4 x adders with enable maps: left-foot braking, front slip, rear slip, and centre slip
- 4 x multipliers with enable maps: steering angle, AWD temperature, AWD pressure, and AWD potentiometer
- Tyre diameter adjustment under sensors
- 2WD/Burnout mode via dedicated switched input, CAN bus message, or OEM functions
- Limiters: maximum duty and launch control limit
- Duty rate of change
- Decay/hold functions
- Limp mode
- Over-current, over-slip, and over-temperature protection
- Cooling pump control
- AWD cooling pump control logic
AutoShift:
The Syvecs AWD unit has a spare low-side output that can send a signal to a shift light or up-paddle lever. This is particularly useful for applications with high Horsepower / HP, where the driver may not pull the paddle quickly enough in lower gears, causing the optimal shift point to be missed or the rev limiter to be reached.
From firmware version 1.15 onward, a change-light strategy can replicate an upshift paddle based on speed, TPS, and RPM. Fine-tuning the AWD system to suit Torque and chassis setups can provide significant acceleration improvements.
