The SDI ECU is a solution for integrated direct injection engine management. Based on the S8 architecture, the SDI has fewer inputs and outputs for GDI applications that do not require the complexity of the full S8.

The SDI directly controls and drives gasoline direct injectors from Ford, GM, and Bosch, including Bosch Motorsport types, without an external driver box. It supports 4-cylinder engines as standard. Additional cylinders can be supported using the S12 ECU and GDI boxes.
