Description SYVECS SYV-WMI Water / Methanol Injection Controller
The Syvecs WMI standalone controller is a compact but powerful unit for controlling a complete water injection electronics system safely and correctly. It integrates into any vehicle through CANbus communications, receiving critical engine data from OEM or aftermarket engine ECUs using two wires. A Syvecs engine ECU is not required.
Engine data can be used for control strategies and monitoring. Additional Level, Flow, and Pressure sensors can be connected to improve system safety. If CANbus is not supported, RPM and injector duty signals can be obtained from the original engine loom.
Advanced users can configure custom CAN transmissions to send bits or bytes over the OEM CANbus, enabling ECU lights, Torque limits, and other functions. The controller can transmit WMI parameters and receive data from a Syvecs ECU, the OBD2 protocol, or supported OEM data streams.
Note: Supported vehicles may expand through WMI firmware updates. Check the Syvecs Forum for updates.
- Four half-bridge drivers can drive low or high outputs.
- Pin sharing allows the WMI pump and solenoid to handle twice the current capability of a single pin.
- Current monitoring supports limp protection for disconnected solenoids, missing current Flow, short circuits, and over-current conditions.
- Limp flags can activate an LED output, send a CAN message to a dash, or apply a Torque limit through the engine ECU.
Specifications:
- Half-Bridge Drivers: 4
- Maximum Current per Driver: 15 A peak / 8 A continuous
- Analog Inputs: 4 × 0–5 V inputs for external switches, sensors, or trim pots
- PWM Inputs: 4 inputs for Flow sensors, RPM signals, and injector duty pickup
- CANbus Interfaces: 2
