The VERUS ENGINEERING A0055A-BARE-Z9R Z9R Small Aluminum Hood Louver Kit is designed to reduce engine bay heat and underhood pressure on the Subaru BRZ, Scion FRS, Toyota GT86, and GR86. By improving airflow evacuation from the engine compartment, the louvers enhance cooling stack efficiency, allowing the radiator and auxiliary cooling components to operate more effectively during high-load conditions.

Using CFD analysis, the louvers are positioned to promote efficient hot air extraction while preserving the structural integrity of the OEM hood. Reducing pressure buildup under the hood also helps minimize front-end lift, resulting in a slight increase in front-end downforce. Optional wickers are included in each Kit and are strongly recommended to maximize airflow evacuation. Optional rain guards are available to help shield engine bay components.
