The VERUS ENGINEERING A0056A-BARE Large Aluminum Hood Louver Kit is engineered to reduce engine bay heat and underhood pressure on the Subaru BRZ, Scion FRS, Toyota GT86, and GR86. By evacuating hot air from beneath the hood, the louvers support improved thermal management and help maintain more stable operating conditions during aggressive street or track use.

Throughout development, the OEM hood was intentionally retained due to its lightweight construction and efficient internal structure. This design approach preserves the hood’s structural skeleton, ensuring long-term strength and shape stability. When installed on the factory hood, the system weighs less than most full carbon replacement hoods while delivering effective heat and pressure evacuation. Optional wickers are included to significantly enhance airflow extraction, and optional rain guards are available to help protect engine bay components.
