The VERUS ENGINEERING A0056A-BLK Large Aluminum Hood Louver Kit is designed to reduce engine bay heat and underhood pressure on the Subaru BRZ, Scion FRS, Toyota GT86, and GR86. By evacuating hot air from beneath the hood, the louvers support improved thermal management and help maintain stable operating temperatures during spirited street driving or track use.

During development, the OEM hood was retained due to its lightweight construction and efficient internal structure. This approach preserves the hood’s structural skeleton, ensuring long-term strength and shape stability. When installed on the factory hood, the system weighs less than most carbon replacement hoods while providing effective heat and pressure evacuation. Optional wickers are included to significantly enhance airflow extraction, and optional rain guards are available to help protect engine bay components.
