The VERUS ENGINEERING A0066A-BARE-JC6 Hood Louver Kit is engineered to reduce engine bay heat and pressure on the Ford Mustang S550 by improving airflow evacuation from beneath the hood. By promoting more efficient airflow through the radiator and cooling accessories, the louvers enhance overall cooling stack efficiency while reducing pressure buildup that contributes to front-end lift.
Developed using CFD analysis, the JC6 louvers are positioned in low-pressure zones on the hood surface to maximize evacuation effectiveness. The design retains the OEM hood’s structural integrity while providing a lightweight alternative to vented aftermarket hoods. Optional wickers are included to significantly increase functional efficiency when installed, and optional rain guards are available as an accessory.
