The VERUS ENGINEERING A0080A-BARE-XT2 aluminum hood louver Kit XT2 is engineered to reduce engine bay heat and underhood pressure on the Mazda MX-5 Miata (ND). By improving the evacuation of hot air from the engine bay, the louvers enhance airflow through the radiator and auxiliary cooling components, resulting in increased cooling stack efficiency. Lower pressure beneath the hood also contributes to reduced front-end lift and improved aerodynamic stability.

Developed using 3D scan data and CFD analysis, the XT2 louvers are positioned in a low-pressure area of the hood while closely following OEM body lines. This placement improves both functional effectiveness and visual integration. The XT2 configuration incorporates optional wickers, which significantly increase functional performance when installed, providing additional aerodynamic and thermal benefits. The raw aluminum finish allows for custom finishing or direct installation as supplied.
