The VERUS ENGINEERING A0118A Fuel Starvation Flapper is designed to address a known fuel starvation issue affecting Subaru BRZ, WRX, STI (VA), Scion FR-S, and Toyota GT86 / GR86 platforms during sustained high-g left-hand turns. Under these conditions, fuel can exit the factory fuel basket, leading to pressure drop and inconsistent engine operation on both street and track.

This component functions as a purpose-built one-way door that allows fuel to enter the basket while preventing it from draining during left-hand cornering. Manufactured from corrosion-resistant materials and supplied with a Viton O-ring, the flapper is compatible with both pump gasoline and ethanol-based fuels. This solution allows the vehicle to operate reliably at lower fuel levels, reducing the need to overfill the tank before track use.

This product is not a replacement for a surge tank and will not allow the fuel tank to be run dry. It is specifically intended to reduce fuel basket drainage during left-hand turns, extending the usable fuel range before starvation occurs.
