The VERUS ENGINEERING A0197A UCW Rear Wing Kit is designed for the Subaru WRX and STI (VA) to significantly increase rear downforce, improve high-speed stability, and enhance overall track performance. Developed to bridge the gap between the Verus high-efficiency rear wing and the 300 mm V1X airfoil, the UCW wing utilizes a 250 mm curved chord airfoil derived from the V1X platform, delivering higher downforce and improved efficiency compared to similarly sized competitor wings.
Advanced aerodynamic development tools, including ANSYS adjoint optimization and CFD analysis, were used to refine the airfoil shape and ensure effective airflow when installed on the vehicle. In-house 3D scan data was utilized during the design process to achieve near OEM-level fit and finish. The UCW rear wing is intended for track-focused vehicles that require a substantial increase in rear downforce to properly balance aggressive front aerodynamic systems.
