The VERUS ENGINEERING A0212A-BLK-X5K Aluminum Hood Louver Kit X5K is engineered for the Subaru WRX and STI (GR / GV) to reduce engine bay temperatures and underhood pressure while retaining the OEM hood. The kit was developed to balance cost efficiency and functional performance, using CFD pressure analysis to position the louvers in low-pressure zones and in-house scan data to ensure precise integration with factory hood contours.

By improving airflow evacuation from the engine bay, the louvers enhance cooling stack efficiency by promoting better airflow through the radiator and cooling components. Reducing pressure buildup under the hood also helps mitigate hood flutter and provides a slight increase in front-end downforce. The included wickers significantly increase evacuation efficiency and are recommended for optimal performance.
