The VERUS ENGINEERING A0281A Splitter Grind Kit is designed to protect the factory front splitter on the Ford Mustang GT350 and GT350R (S550) from damage caused by contact with asphalt or concrete surfaces. The kit uses carbon polyweave skid vanes that install in non-critical aerodynamic zones, helping to extend the service life of the OEM splitter without compromising underbody airflow performance.

The skid vanes are shaped using a NACA 0010 airfoil profile to minimize drag and downstream airflow disturbance. Carbon polyweave material offers high wear resistance and strength while maintaining low weight, making it suitable for repeated ground contact during aggressive street or track use. Placement and geometry were validated through CFD analysis to ensure no negative impact on drag or downforce.
