The VERUS ENGINEERING A0387A-BARE aluminum hood louver kit is engineered to reduce engine bay temperature and pressure on the Hyundai Veloster N, improving both cooling efficiency and aerodynamic performance. By allowing hot air to evacuate from the engine bay, the louvers enhance airflow through the radiator and charge air cooler, increasing overall cooling stack effectiveness during demanding driving conditions.

During development, Verus Engineering utilized 3D scan data and CFD analysis to position the louvers in a low-pressure zone on the hood, maximizing air evacuation while maintaining structural integrity. The louver geometry follows the OEM hood contours, minimizing material removal and preserving rigidity. Reduced underhood pressure also contributes to decreased front-end lift, resulting in a measurable improvement in front-end downforce.
