The VERUS ENGINEERING A0387A-BLK aluminum hood louver kit is engineered to reduce engine bay temperature and pressure on the Hyundai Veloster N, improving cooling efficiency and front-end aerodynamic performance. By promoting efficient evacuation of hot air from the engine bay, the louvers increase airflow through the radiator and charge air cooler, resulting in improved cooling stack efficiency under high-load conditions.
Using 3D scan data and CFD analysis, the louvers are positioned in a low-pressure region of the hood to maximize airflow extraction while following OEM hood contours. This approach minimizes structural material removal, preserving hood rigidity while integrating seamlessly with the factory body lines. Reduced underhood pressure also contributes to decreased front-end lift, providing a measurable increase in front-end downforce.
