The VERUS ENGINEERING A0483A-BARE-J2P aluminum hood louver kit is engineered to reduce engine bay heat and pressure on the Subaru WRX (VB), improving cooling efficiency and aerodynamic performance. By enhancing airflow evacuation from the engine bay, the louvers improve airflow through the radiator and charge air cooler on vehicles equipped with a front mount intercooler. Reduced engine bay pressure also contributes to lower front-end lift, resulting in a measurable increase in front-end downforce.
During development, Verus Engineering utilized detailed scan data and CFD analysis to position the louvers in a low-pressure region of the hood while maintaining alignment with OEM body contours.
