The VERUS ENGINEERING A0558A-BLK Air Oil Separator Kit is designed to prevent oil vapors from entering the intake system of the Honda Civic Type R (FK8) during high-performance driving. Under increased load and sustained high RPM operation, the factory PCV and CCV systems can become overwhelmed, allowing oil vapor to contaminate the intake tract and negatively impact performance and engine durability.

This air oil separator effectively separates oil from crankcase gases before they re-enter the intake system. By keeping oil out of the intake, the system helps maintain effective octane levels, reduce the risk of detonation, and limit carbon buildup. The AOS utilizes four 5-micron coalescent filters, internal baffling, and stainless steel mesh to provide high-efficiency oil separation while allowing clean air to be recirculated. An integrated drain plug simplifies maintenance, making the system suitable for frequently driven vehicles. Optional coolant add-on components are available to further tailor the system to specific use cases.
