The S197 chassis third link setup is known to experience brake hop and axle tramp with the stock arm, as the original bushing prioritizes comfort over performance. Whiteline's upper control arm is constructed from 4130 Chromalloy and features the longer arm length introduced by Ford in 2011, which helps reduce brake hop.

The synthetic elastomer bushing increases rear end stability without the harshness of bearing designs. It includes an eccentric crush tube for pinion angle and instant center adjustment without compromising arm strength. The pinhole voiding feature allows the bushing to articulate without binding. The heavy duty mount enhances rigidity and is designed to fit all years of the S197 chassis.
